When are troop elections held?
Elections are held every 6 months, usually right before our Spring and Fall Courts of Honor. New offices are installed at the Court of Honor. Scouts needing a leadership position for advancement are encouraged to run for an office. Scouts who are not elected to an office may, after the election, request an appointment to an office from the Scoutmaster. Appointments will be decided on a case by case basis according to the needs of the troop and the qualifications of the individual seeking office.
What if there aren't enough qualified candidates for an office?
If this happens then the Scoutmaster and the incumbent Senior Patrol Leader working together may decide to allow one or more candidates who may not possess all of the qualifications to run or serve for that office.
